Gratitude is extended to our sponsors Civil Society Fund (CSF) for the great support, through Strengthening Civil Society for improved HIV/AIDS and OVC Service delivery in Uganda (SCIPHA) which is a consortium between Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) a non government Organisation and one of the leading social and health marketing Ngo, Uganda Health Marketing Group. ( UHMG), we use CSF Fund in a combination programme of prevention, care and treatment to:
  • To increase access and utilization of HIV prevention, care and treatment services offered in the 19 supported districts.
  • To strengthen the Quality assurance systems of HIV service providers and improve the capacity of these organizations to provide quality HIV services in the supported districts.
  • To strengthen linkages, partnerships and district referral systems for HIV service provision in the 19 districts.
  • Build the capacity of 04 CSF funded CSOs to deliver quality HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment services. The outcome is the number of CSF funded CSOs delivering quality HIV services.
  • To address the underlying socio-cultural, gender based and other structural drivers of the HIV epidemic in the 19 SCIPHA districts.

As communications and Documentation, our mandate this season (SCIPHA II) is consolidation and documentation of the best practices.
I would like to commend the SCIPHA team, Partners; Ministry of Health who are making this possible and maintaining collaboration in focus areas is key priority.
